Hale Accounting Services, Inc. is an independent woman owned and operated tax firm located in the heart of Montgomery Village, in Montgomery County, Maryland dedicated to providing exceptional and personalized service to each of our clients. With over 50 years of combined experience in tax preparation, we are confident in the extent of our knowledge and expertise. We also offer our clients a virtual option with access to a secure portal, and timely communication using our messaging system.   Arlene Hale, is committed to ensuring quality service. Her genuine personality and sense of humor puts each client at ease. Arlene is originally from Long Island, NY and moved to the DC Metro area in 1980. Arlene has been preparing taxes since 1986, and started her own business in 2002. She is an EA (Enrolled Agent) and taught the basic tax program for 14 years. She is involved in the professional communities of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), and Business Networking International (BNI). Arlene is also on the board of directors for the Treehouse Child Advocacy Center and is a member of Kiwanis. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat Oreo. She is also fondly known as "Tante 'Lene" to the many children in her life.   Deborah joined us in 2013. In her previous life, she worked as a nurse and for a non-profit. She has a Bachelor’s from Clark University and has been preparing taxes for 10 years. She participates in the Annual Filing Season Program each year with the IRS. Deborah is meticulous when it comes to managing our office and has an excellent rapport with clients. She's married with two adult daughters, and her hobbies include knitting, dancing and reading.  Jennifer joined us in 2012. She is diligent when it comes to managing our marketing, and social media platforms, and preparing her client’s tax returns. She has a Business degree from Ashland University and has previously worked for several non-profits. When Jennifer is not preparing taxes, she volunteers at her children's schools and enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children, and many pets. Her hobbies include reading, crafting, and building LEGO sets. Getting your taxes done each year can be very stressful for many people. This is my second year working with Arlene. My first year, she helped me navigate taxes for overseas work. This year was only a continuation of a very positive experience. Arlene is patient and happy to clarify any questions. Her service is efficient and professional, and my taxes were filed in a very timely manner. This was our first time using Hale Accounting Services Inc. for our taxes. And we're glad we did! Arlene - the founder/owner - was very pleasant, friendly, professional and with a sense of humor that made us feel at ease, and made the experience a breeze! The office sends you reminders via text of your appointment and follow through with confirmation of your filing with the IRS and State. We definitely recommend their services! Jennifer, was extremely helpful and super fast. I got her my documents the Wednesday before deadline and I even sent missing documents that I forgot the day before deadline. She still got our return done on time and didn’t have to file extension. We were very pleased with her.
